How many doors do you have?
“18”
What market(s) do you operate in?
“Dallas TX & Toledo Oh”
What got you into real estate investing?
“My father. I’d go help him on weekends paint or collect rent from the few properties he owned.”
How would you describe your portfolio?
“Mostly residential with one commercial space. Rents range from 520/mo to 2250/mo”
What are you currently buying?
“Just bought a multifamily a few weeks ago and working on 2 additional single family homes in Texas by the end of the year.”
Tell us about your biggest mistake in real estate?
“I bought a single family in 2005 at top of the market- lost 22k on it when I sold it 10 years later. Also working on a duplex that I’ve been working on almost a year. My orginal Renovation was 65k and ill likely hit 125k by the time I complete it.”
Tell us about your biggest win in real estate?
“Buying at least 1-2 doors a year in 2010-2017. Also picked up a hoarder house 🏠 in a A class neighborhood in 2020 that was a crazy home run.”
What advice would you give to someone looking to buy their first deal?
“Stop looking for the perfect first deal. And dont over extended. Just because you are approved for a 400k loan doesn’t mean you should get one. Start small and scale. I bought my first multifamily property at 21. Im now 39 w 16. It takes time!”
